  1. What is the Employer Locator and how do I use it?
The Employer Locator is designed to help jobseekers find potential employers. Using specific search criteria, this web-based tool searches a database of nearly 12 million U.S. employers for a single employer or a list of employers. List of employers can be created using any of the four search options: Industry, Occupation, Location and Keyword.

  2. What information does the Employer Locator provide?
The Employer Locator creates lists of potential employers and provides basic contact information, business descriptors and street maps for nearly 12 million U.S. employers. Job openings are not included in the Employer Locator.

  3. What is the source of the information in the Employer Locator?
The employer information is proprietary data purchased from Infogroup.

  4. How can I add, remove or change employer information provided by the Employer Locator?
Additions, deletions and edits to the Employer Locator information should be directed to Infogroup, Omaha, Nebraska. Send an email to Contentfeedback@infousa.com, call toll-free 1-800-555-5211 (ask for the Government Division) or submit a request on their website at www.infogroup.com. Please note that this information is updated twice each year, so changes may not appear in the Employer Locator immediately.

  5. How often is the Employer Locator information updated?
The employer information is updated twice a year.

  6. How do I find employers in my area?
You can use any of the Employer Locator's four search options to find employers near you. The Employer Locator's location search option uses a zip code and distance to find employers that are close by.
