The Scholarship Search is an interactive, online tool to help you locate scholarships and other financial assistance for education. It includes over 7,000 scholarships, fellowships, loans and other opportunities. Select criteria for your search in the Category Search or use the Keyword Search to search by words and phrases.
- How do I use the Scholarship Search's Category Search?
Go to Category Search and select the specific award types, levels of study, and geographic and affiliation restrictions that apply to you. Make multiple selections in each category by holding the Control key (Windows) or Command key (Mac) while selecting options. Selections are not necessary in all categories. However, at least one selection must be made to generate results.
- How do I use the Scholarship Search's Keyword Search?
Enter the word or phrase in the Keyword Search and select one of the following search options: all words (this is the same as using AND between keywords and phrases), any word (this is the same as using OR between keywords and phrases) or the exact phrase (this is the same as putting quotes around the keywords and phrases). The Scholarship Search automatically looks for all of the keywords you enter.

The Scholarship Search uses scholarship information produced by the Gale Group (a unit of Thomson Corporation) and Reference Service Press.

- Start your searching early and allow plenty of time.
- Check out resources in the Financial Aid Center.
- Use the Scholarship Search and the Financial Aid Advisor to find more options.
- Become familiar with the process, follow it closely and keep an eye on important deadlines.
- Examine all of the options and narrow them as you go.
- Contact the financial aid office at the schools you are considering to see if they have any special programs you might be eligible for.
